Elite Chauffeurs

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 24 June 2026.

Elite Chauffeur Services (“Elite Chauffeurs”, “we”, “us”) is the controller of personal data collected through this website and through our chauffeur, transfer and tour services in Ireland. This notice explains what we collect, why we use it, who receives it, how long it is retained and the rights available to you under the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), the Data Protection Act 2018 and applicable Irish electronic communications rules.

1. Personal data we collect

Depending on how you contact or book with us, we may collect:

  • Identity and contact data: name, email address, telephone number, country and communication preferences.
  • Journey and booking data: pickup and dropoff locations, dates, times, passenger and luggage numbers, vehicle preference, flight information, accommodation information, stops and accessibility or service requirements you choose to provide.
  • Payment and transaction data: payment status, amount, currency, promotion or discount information, Stripe transaction references and invoices. Card details are entered directly into Stripe Checkout and are not stored by Elite Chauffeurs.
  • Communications: enquiries, booking notes, emails, complaints, amendments and records of support provided.
  • Technical and usage data: IP address, browser and device information, referring page, security logs and website interaction data where permitted by your cookie choices.
  • Marketing preferences: whether you asked to receive optional news or offers and when that preference changed.

Please avoid entering unnecessary sensitive information into free-text fields. If health, mobility or accessibility information is needed to provide a requested service, we will use it only for that purpose and restrict access to those who need it.

2. Why we use personal data and our legal bases

  • Steps before a contract and performance of a contract: preparing quotations, checking availability, creating and managing bookings, assigning a chauffeur, processing payment, sending confirmations and delivering the requested journey.
  • Legal obligations: accounting, taxation, fraud prevention, responding to lawful requests and keeping records required by law.
  • Legitimate interests: operating and securing the website, preventing misuse, managing customer service, handling complaints, maintaining business records and improving our services where those interests do not override your rights.
  • Consent: optional marketing and optional analytics or advertising technologies. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing already carried out lawfully.

3. Booking and payment processing

Information submitted through booking and enquiry forms is stored in our booking system and used by authorised staff to respond or provide the service. Stripe processes card payments on its hosted checkout service. Stripe receives the information needed to process and protect the transaction under its own privacy terms. Elite Chauffeurs receives transaction status and references, but not raw card numbers or security codes.

4. Who receives personal data

We do not sell or rent personal data. We may disclose only what is reasonably necessary to:

  • the assigned chauffeur or operational staff responsible for the journey;
  • hosting, database, email, security, mapping, payment and professional service providers acting for us;
  • venues, transport partners or other suppliers where you have requested an itinerary that requires coordination;
  • professional advisers, insurers, courts, regulators or law-enforcement bodies where disclosure is lawful and necessary; or
  • a purchaser or successor if the business is reorganised, provided appropriate safeguards apply.

Service providers are required to protect the information and use it only for the agreed purpose. Some technology providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where this happens, we rely on an approved transfer mechanism such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses, as applicable.

5. Data retention

We retain information only for as long as needed for the purpose collected and to meet legal, accounting, dispute and fraud-prevention requirements. Booking, invoice and transaction records may normally be retained for up to seven years. Enquiries and operational communications are reviewed and deleted or anonymised when no longer reasonably required. Marketing records are retained until you unsubscribe or the information is no longer needed. Security logs may be kept for a shorter period unless an incident requires investigation.

6. Cookies, analytics and advertising measurement

Necessary browser storage is used for security, booking functionality and remembering your privacy choice. Optional Google Analytics and Google Ads measurement are managed through Google Tag Manager and Google Consent Mode v2.

Analytics and advertising storage are denied unless you grant the relevant consent. If you reject optional technologies, no optional Google analytics or advertising cookies are stored. Limited cookieless signals may still be sent for aggregate reporting and conversion modelling. We do not send customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, messages, pickup details, dropoff details, flight numbers or itineraries to Google Tag Manager.

Your privacy choice is remembered for up to six months. You can change or withdraw it at any time using Cookie settings in the website footer. Browser controls can also remove stored cookies, but the footer control is the recommended way to update consent for this site.

7. Security

We use proportionate technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data, including encrypted transmission, access controls, authentication, backups, service monitoring and restricted administrative access. No internet service can guarantee absolute security; please contact us promptly if you believe information relating to a booking has been compromised.

8. Your data protection rights

Subject to the conditions and exceptions in data protection law, you may ask us to:

  • provide access to your personal data;
  • correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • erase information where there is no lawful reason to retain it;
  • restrict how information is used;
  • provide certain information in a portable format;
  • stop processing based on legitimate interests where your objection prevails; and
  • withdraw consent for marketing, analytics or advertising measurement.

We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. Requests can be sent to info@elitechauffeurs.ie. You also have the right to complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.

9. Children and third-party information

Our website is not directed at children making bookings independently. If you provide information about another passenger, you should ensure you are authorised to do so and that the information is accurate and relevant to the journey.

10. External links and policy changes

External websites and services have their own privacy practices. We are not responsible for their content or policies. We may update this notice when services, providers or legal requirements change. Material changes will be shown on this page with a revised date.
